Rapper JELEEL!, actual name Jeleel Yussuf, is a Nigerian musical artist who was born in Rhode Island, United States, on October 14, 1995. While still in college, where basketball was his primary occupation, he started his musical career in 2015. He didn't understand music was his true calling until he wrote his debut song, "Alone," and experienced what he calls "an emotion” he [had] never felt before." He relocated to Los Angeles to continue with music and further his profession after finishing his post-secondary schooling in Baltimore. 2019 saw messages from Jeleel on both his Twitter and Instagram accounts announcing the release of his first album, Angel From Heaven. The following year, he quickly published his follow-up effort, Generation Z. Influences like Kid Cudi, DMX, Sum 41, and Buju Banton contributed to the artist's contagious enthusiasm.
