Jelly Roll Bio

Born in 1986 Jelly Roll (Jason DeFord) is an American rapper from Nashville, Tennessee. He labels his music as country rap, sticking close to his Tennessee roots. Jelly Roll is well-respected in the hip-hop community and has collaborated with such artists like Struggle Jennings, Lil Wyte, Haystak, Tech N9ne. His single “Pop Another Pill” with Lil Wyte gained over one million views on YouTube. His first solo album entitled “The Big Sal Story” was released in 2012 followed by a 2013 mixtape called “Whiskey, Weed, & Waffle House” – a name that would be changed to “Whiskey, Weed, & Women” due to legal issues. Since then he has released a solo album called “Biggest Loser” and an EP “Whiskey Sessions.”
