Jenji Kohan was born Jenji Leslie Kohan on July the 5th 1969 in California and is an American writer and producer. Coming to further prominence, Kohan served as a producer and writer on the hit show, Gilmore Girls and then wrote the film, The Stones before coming to widespread prominence as the creator, executive producer and writer of the hit television show Weeds before creating, writing and executive producing the hit television show Orange Is the New Black for Netflix.
