Jenna Coleman, also known as Jenna-Louise Coleman, is a British actress born in 1986 in Blackpool, England. She trained at Arnold School, and her early role in the play “Crystal Clear” was met with critical acclaim. In the early 2000s, the actress kept on taking roles in theater dramas, and in 2005 her portrayal of Jasmine Thomas in the TV soap opera “Emmerdale Farm” gave Coleman national exposure and media attention. Her performance was prized with the 2006 Best Newcomer National Television Award and opened the path for the artist to take on further TV acting roles. In 2011 she made her major film debut in “Captain America: The First Avenger”, and from 2012 until 2017 she joined the cast of “Dr. Who” as Clara.
