Jeremih Bio

Jeremih, born Jeremy Philip Felton (July 17, 1987) is an American R&B singer, rapper, songwriter and record producer. He is best known for his singles ‘Planes’ and ‘Birthday Sex’. Chicago born artist was studying at Chicago’s Columbia College where he met with producer Mick Schultz, who helped produce his first and second album. Jeremih debuted his hit R&B slow jam, ‘Birthday Sex’ in 2009, which peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 20 weeks. In the same year, Jeremih was nominated at the American Music Awards for T-Mobile Soul/R&B Breakthrough Artist. The R&B star issued his first album, ‘Jeremih’, as a follow up to his single release in the same year. In 2010, Jeremih released his second album, ‘All About You’, which featured his next big hit ‘Down on Me’ featuring 50 Cent, which peaked at number 4 on the Hot 100 in 2011. The rising star took some time before he released his third album under Def Jam Records, ‘Late Nights: The Album’ which was a massive success and was certified platinum by the RIAA. Pitchfork added ‘Late Nights: The Album’ to their Top 50 Albums of 2015. The album produced three double-platinum R&B hits; ‘Don’t Tell Em’ featuring YG, ‘Oui’ and ‘Planes’ featuring J. Cole. ‘Planes’ was nominated for Best R&B Performance in 2015. Jeremih continued on to his third album, ‘Late Night: Europe’ which was enjoyed by many of his fans. Receiving high praise for his music, Jeremih spent most of his time collaborating with big artists such as Kanye West on his track, ‘Wouldn’t Leave’, Meek Mill’s ‘Dangerous’, Big Sean’s ‘Bounce Back’ amongst many others including DJ Khaled and Chance the Rapper. The now 32 year old artist’s most recent album, ‘MihTy’ was released in 2018 as a full album collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign. His single, ‘Oui’, currently has 324.9 million plays on Spotify.
