Jeremy Camp is a gospel rock musician who stays within the Christian contemporary genre, but has enormous following there. His father, a pastor, taught him how to play guitar. When Jeremy attended bible college in southern California, a leader at the school overheard him jamming with some friends and urged him to join their music ministry program. He was soon playing at Christian events all over the state, and self-released his debut album, “Burden Me,” in 2000; his next album was under the label BEC Recordings.
At this writing, Jeremy Camp has released eleven studio albums, four of them certified gold by the RIAA, with his live album, “Live Unplugged” (2005) is certified 2x platinum. His single releases also regularly chart #1 on the Billboard US Christian chart. He is a 5x GMA Dove Award winner and a 5x ASCAP Award winner, and has been nominated for many more.
