Jesperi Kotkaniemi is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who plays as a center in the National Hockey League. He was born in Pori, Finland, on July 6, 2000. Jesperi spent his formative years playing for the junior team at Porin Ässät, and in 2017, he signed with their senior team. He began his NHL career in 2018 when he was selected by the Montreal Canadiens with the third pick in the NHL Draft. Jesperi has since represented the Carolina Hurricanes, and throughout his time in Carolina, he played alongside Sebastian Aho, Frederik Andersen, Tony DeAngelo, and Andrei Svchnikov.
