Jesse Malin is an American rock musician born in Queens, New York on January 26, 1968. Malin started his music career at 12 years old as the front-man for the hardcore band Heart Attack. The band split up in 1984 and Jesse joined the band Hope and then D Generation. He was the singer of the glam punk band D Generation for eight years. Together they released three albums before disbanding in 1999. After D Generation disbanded Malin formed two more bands PCP Highway and Bellvue before starting his solo career. He was signed with the record label Artemis Records and released his debut studio album in 2002 titled The Fine Art of Self Destruction. He has since released the albums The Heat, Glitter in the Gutter, On Your Sleeve, Love It to Life, New York Before The War, Outsiders, and Sunset Kids. He also released four EPs, one live album, and five collaboration albums.
