Jessica Barden is an English actress born in 1992 in North Yorkshire, England. She is best known for portraying Alyssa in the Channel 4 series “The End of the F***ing World” (2017), co-starring with Alex Lawther. Barden started her acting career as a young girl with an appearance at the 1999 TV series “My Parents are Aliens.” After a theatre role in “Jerusalem,” she got her film debut in 2007’s “Mrs. Ratcliffe's Revolution,” which opened the path for her to get roles in other big-screen productions like 2010’s “Tamara Drew,” 2011’s “Hanna” opposite Saoirse Ronan, and 2015’s “Madding Crowd.” In 2014 she took part in a short film titled “TEOTFW”, a project that would later become Channel 4’s “The End of the F***ing World.” Barden’s other notable movie appearances include Yorgos Lanthimos’ “The Lobster” (2015).
