Jessie Buckley is an Irish theater, television and movie actress. She was born on the 28th of December, 1989, in Killarney, Ireland. She started her career in 2008, when she competed in the BBC’s talent show “I’d Do Anything” in which she won second place. The same year she landed her first role in the West End musical “A Little Night Music”. She graduated from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2013 and she continued to appear in many plays and musicals like “The Tempest”, “Gabriel” and “Henry IV”, where she appeared opposite Jude Law. In 2016 she appeared in the BBC’s drama television series “War and Peace”. In 2018 she starred in the British thriller “Beast” for which she received critical acclaim and won Most Promising Newcomer at the 2019 British Independent Film Award, as well as a nomination for Best Actress. In 2020 she starred alongside Keira Knightley in the comedy-drama film “Misbehaviour”.
