Jim Acosta Bio

Abilio James Acosta, better known as Jim Acosta, is an American journalist, show host, and TV personality best known for his work in television. He was born in Washington, D.C., United States, on April 17, 1971.

Jim began his career in news media in the early 1990s as a radio presenter, but soon after, he made the switch to television. He worked with the networks WTTG-TV, WBIR-TV, WBBM-TV, and CBS News, but he is best known for his time with BBC, who he joined in 2007. Jim has been a regular on the TV shows Anderson Cooper 360°, The Situation Room, The Lead with Jake Tapper, and CNN Newsroom, which features Poppy Harlow, Brooke Baldwin, and Jim Sciutto.

He authored the book The Enemy of the People: A Dangerous Time to Tell the Truth in America.
