Jim Brickman is an American Grammy-award winning artist and radio host who was born on November 20th 1961 in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. He was born and raised in Cleveland. He studied Performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music and later attended Case Western Reserve University.
Jim learned how to play the piano when he was five years old and he started out with classical music. He soon got interested in mainstream music and made the switch. His debut album No Words dropped in 1994 under Windham Hill. He followed up the next year with By Heart and in 1997 dropped Picture This as well as The Gift. A live effort My Romance: An Evening with Jim Brickman appeared in 2000 and two years later he released a children’s album Love Songs and Lullabies.
His album Faith was nominated in 2010 for the Best New Age Album Grammy. As a radio host, he began hosting Your Weekend with Jim Brickman in 1997 and also founded the strategic marketing and e-com solutions company Brickman Direct.
