Jimmi Simpson is an American actor born in Hackettstown, New Jersey on November 21, 1975. He is best known for his roles on the television shows It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Breakout Kings, Psych, House of Cards, The Late Show with David Letterman, Hap and Leonard, Black Mirror, Unsolved, and Westworld. Simpson graduated from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. After graduating from college he acted for four seasons at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts. In 2000 he made his debut in film in the movie Loser and continued landing roles in the films Stay Alive, Seraphim Falls, Zodiac, The Mother of Invention, Taking Chances, Date Night, The Big Bang, Hello I Must Be Going, White House Down, Gravy, Under the Silver Lake, El Tonto and more. He made his debut on television in 2002 in the show Rose Red and has since had roles in the shows 24, NYPD Blue, Cold Case, Eleventh Hour, House, Virtuality, House of Cards, This Is Us, Wormwood, Unsolved, Into the Dark, Hap and Leonard, and others. Simpson has also voiced a character in the video game Wanted: Weapons of Fate. Throughout his career he has been nominated for several awards and has won a Theatre World Award and an Ashland Independent Film Festival.
