North Carolina native, Jimmy Wayne, is an American country singer and songwriter. Born on 23 October 1972, the singer endured a rough childhood because of an absentee father and foster-homes. Jimmy moved to Nashville after graduating from community college, where he found work at Acuff-Rose composing songs. In 2001, he got a record label contract with Dreamworks Nashville for his 2003 album “Jimmy Wayne” which peaked at no 7 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. Followed by the 2008 hit collection “Do You Believe Me Now” which peaked at no 4 on the charts, and his most recent work in 2009 titled “Sara Smile.” Billboard’s Hot Country Song chart includes 10 of the artist’s singles, and he has the honor of performing in the Grand Ole Opry 223 times.
