Jiyoung Kang Bio
Kang Jiyoung, a well-known singer and actress, was born on January 18, 1994, in Paju, South Korea. She graduated in 2012 from Muhak Women's High School after attending Bongilcheon Middle School. Jiyoung joined the second iteration of the South Korean girl group Kara in 2008 and made her singing and Maknae debuts. Jiyoung left the group in 2014 after five years of membership. 2014 saw the end of Jiyoung's contract with DSP, and she relocated to London to pursue acting. Jiyoung secured a modelling and acting contract with the Japanese agency SweetPower in 2014. Yukime played in the live-action, Hell Teacher Nube, which was her first acting role in Japan. Jiyoung received her first nomination for a Drama Academy Award for supporting actress with her role.
