joan Bio
The famous synth-pop duo, joan, is originally from Arkansas. The group consists of Steven Rutherford and Alan Thomas. Before they paired up, Steven was part of a band known as Brothers + Company while Alan was a part of a band named Canopy Climbers. They met at church and started their collaboration from then on.
Joan released their first two singles named Love Somebody Like You and Take Me On in 2017. Their songs were such a hit that the famous boy band COIN approached them to perform as an opening act during their summer tour. The pair then released their third single named Tokyo. This opened many doors and they signed a musical contract with label 20XX. Up to date, they’ve released an EP - Portra in 2019 and their first album, Cloudy in 2020.
