Jocelyn Moorhouse, also known as Jocelyn Denise Moorhouse, is a screenwriter and film director from Australia. She was born on September 4, 1960 in Melbourne, Australia. Films such as Proof, How to Make an American Quilt, A Thousand Acres, and The Dressmaker are some of the movies that she has directed. In addition, Moorhouse has worked with her husband, the film director P. J. Hogan, on a number of films, including "Muriel's Wedding" and "Mental." Alongside her employment in the film industry, she is also the author of a book titled Unconditional Love: A Memoir of Filmmaking and Motherhood. Proof, Moorhouse's first feature film, was honoured with six awards from the Australian Film Institute, as well as a Golden Camera-Special Mention Award and a Bronze Award from the Cannes Film Festival and the Tokyo Film Festival, respectively.
