Joe Anoa’i, also known by his ring name “Roman Reigns”, is a professional wrestler, a former professional football player and an occasional actor. He was born Leati Joseph Anoa’i on the 25th of May, 1985, in Pensacola, Florida, U.S. He played football for the Minnesota Vikings and the Jacksonville Jaguars, both teams of the National Football League, before retiring from football in 2008. In 2010, he started his wrestling career and he was signed by WWE in 2010. Anoa’i then took his ring name. He made his ring debut in 2012 as Roman Reign with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. The trio called themselves The Shield. Reigns won the WWE Championship four times. He also won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship three times and the WWE Intercontinental Championship one time. He also won twice the WWE Year-End Award in 2018.
