Joe Dempsie is an English actor who was born in Liverpool, Merseyside, England, on June 22, 1987. He went to Nottingham, England's Central Junior Television Workshop. The medical dramas Peak Practice, Doctors, and Sweet Medicine, as well as the motion pictures, One for the Road and Heartlands, are among Dempsie's early acting credits. He joined Mark Strong's FOX television series Deep State in 2017. Joe is best recognised for his appearances as Gendry Baratheon in Game of Thrones and Chris Miles in the E4 adolescent comedy-drama Skins. He originally made an appearance on Game of Thrones as a guest star in the first season, reprised his role for the second season, and was elevated to a leading cast member for the third season. Dempsie first tried out for the parts of Grenn, Pypar, and Jon Snow before getting cast.
