Joe Ingles Bio

Joe Howarth Ingles is an Australian professional basketball player who was born on October 2, 1987, in Adelaide, South Australia. He played junior basketball for the Southern Tigers, and he later played for the Springbank Secondary College’s high school’s team. He later attended Lake Ginninderra College, but also attended the Australian Institute of Sports, located in Canberra. His professional career began in 2006, when he signed to the South Dragons. In 2009, he signed to Club Baloncesto Granada, a Spanish team. The following year, he was transferred to FC Barcelona Bàsquet, and played until the 2012-2013 season. He joined the Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club. In 2014, he was brought to the Utah Jazz, an American team based in Salt Lake City that competes in the NBA. Internationally, he represented Australia at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games as a member of the Australian Boomers. He later participated at the 2010 FIBA World Championship, at the 2012 London Olympics, and at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
