Joe Walsh is the legendary rock musician with a career spanning four decades. He is best known as a former member of the band Eagles, but has also been a member of James Gang, Barnstorm, the Party Boys, Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band, and the supergroup The Best. Walsh’s mother was a classically trained pianist, which sparked his interest in music, and by high school was playing bass in local bands. In 1967 he joined his first professional band, James Gang, which released nine albums between 1969 and 1976.
Joe Walsh joined the Eagles in 1975 after a brief stint with the band Barnstorm, and his place in rock history was assured from there out, as their next album “Hotel California” (1976) became one of the best-selling albums of all time and won two Grammy Awards. Along with continuous success with the Eagles, Walsh led a solo career and partnered with top artists, including John Entwistle, The Beach Boys, The Strat Pack, The Who, and Foo Fighters. He is a five-time Grammy award winner and inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
