John Bradley Bio
John Bradley West (born 15 September 1988) is an English actor best known for playing Samwell Tarly in HBO's fantasy television series Game of Thrones.
Bradley won the part of Samwell Tarly in the 2011 HBO fantasy TV series Game of Thrones in his first audition, three months after graduating from drama school. He would play the character for all eight seasons of the show.
His character is a buddy of Kit Harington's Jon Snow and provides comic relief on occasion, particularly in season one. Bradley's Tarly grew in importance as the series continued.
He was described as "a brilliant humorous and cowardly yin to Jon's dour yang" by one reviewer. According to George R. R. Martin, the character Bradley portrays is the one he would play.
