John David Washington Bio

John David Washington is an American actor and former football player. He was born on the 28th July, 1984 in Los Angeles, California. He played college football at Morehouse College. He started his acting career very young, at age seven, when he appeared as a student in a Harlem classroom in Spike Lee's 1992 feature film “Malcolm X”, which starred Washington's father, Denzel in the title role. He shifted to an acting career after the pursuit of his football career, and in 2015, he took part in the cast of the HBO comedy series “Ballers”. He played in the series from 2015 to 2019. In 2018, he starred in the highly acclaimed Spike Lee’s crime film “BlacKkKlansman”. For his performance, he received both Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. He was also nominated for the People’s Choice Awards as The Drama Movie Star of 2018.
