Born in July 25, 1968, John Grant came from Buchanan, Michigan, and was raised at Parker, Colorado. His music genre is folk, alternative, indie, and electronic rock. He started as a frontman for the band the Czars in Colorado. The band released two independent albums back in the ‘90s. Soon after, they signed for the Bella Union label, releasing albums “Before… But Longer” and “The Ugly People vs. the Beautiful People” before the band disbanded in 2004.
After that, Grant went solo and released his solo project entitled “Queen of Denmark” in 2010, working alongside members of Midlake, a band where he also became a sideman. In 2013, he released his second album “Pale Green Ghosts.”
