John Green is an American author and YouTuber born in Indianapolis on August 24, 1977. In 2005 he released his debut novel titled Looking for Alaska. He has since written the books An Abundance of Katherines, Let It Snow: Three Holiday Romances, Paper Towns, Will Grayson, Will Grayson, The Fault in Our Stars, and Turtles All the Way Down. His fourth solo novel, The Fault in Our Stars was a New York Times Best Seller and was made into a film in 2014. In 2015 his novel Paper Towns was also made into a film. In 2007 Green started the YouTube channel VlogBrothers with his brother Hank Green. He has since created 11 online series. Their channel has a following of 3.2 million subscribers with over 785 million total video views. In 2010 John and Hank Green created the YouTube conference VidCon, where YouTubers get together to meet their fans. Throughout John’s career he has been nominated for several awards and has won a Michael L. Printz Award, an Edgar Allan Poe Award, a Corine Literature Prize, and others.
