Born on August 4, 1972, in Loretto, Tennessee, United States, John Paul White is an American singer-songwriter. White ventured into music as a part of the band Nuthin' Fancy and released his debut album with Jeff Quillen at Rock N Roll Dawg Sound Studio. In 2008, White moved on to form a duo The Civil Wars with Joy Williams that was crowned with the 2012 Grammy Award for best Folk Album. The award-winning duo broke up in 2014. Throughout his stellar career, he has collaborated with singer Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Rosanne Cash and six-time Grammy award-winning musician Dave Cobb, establishing himself as the most sought-after and talented artists in the music world.
