Johnny Gargano Bio
John Anthony Nicholas Gargano (born August 14, 1987 in Cleveland), popularly known as Johnny Wrestling is a professional wrestler most renowned for performing with WWE’s developmental brand, NXT. He is the first Triple Crown Champion in NXT history.
Although Gargano officially started training when he was 16, he had been wrestling since he was eight. He began his professional wrestling career in 2005, and has since then competed in various independent promotions throughout his career, including Chikara, Dragon Gate USA, and EVOLVE Wrestling. His trademark signature moves include Gargano Escape and One Final Beat.
In 2015, Gargano signed with WWE and began performing in NXT. Since then, he has become one of the most popular and accomplished wrestlers in NXT, winning several championships including the NXT Champion, NXT North American Champion, and NXT Tag Team Champion. He first made his mark as a part of the tag team "DIY" with Tommaso Ciampa.
