Jon Mclaughlin is an American pop rock singer, songwriter, musician and producer born in Anderson, Indiana on September 27, 1982. He is best known for his hit single “Beating My Heart.” Mclaughlin attended Anderson University to study music. From 2003 to 2005 he released the independent albums Up Until Now, Jon McLaughlin (The Early Recordings), and Songs I Wrote and Later Recorded. In 2005 he signed with the record label Island Records and in 2007 and 2008 released the albums Indiana and OK Now. He left Island and self-released the album Forever If Ever in 2011. In 2012 he signed with the label Razor & Tie and re-released the album as Promising Promises. He released the albums Holding My Breath and Like Us with Razor & Tie before leaving the label. In 2018 he self-released the album Angst & Grace. Mclaughlin has also released four EPs. Jon has also had roles in the films Enchanted and Atlantians in America.
