Jonah Goldberg is a Republican author and journalist who was born in New York, United States, on March 21, 1969. He is the editor-in-chief of The Dispatch, a best-selling author, and he holds the Asness Chair in Applied Liberty at the American Enterprise Institute. Numerous newspapers around the country frequently publish his nationally syndicated column. He was National Review Online's first editor. Goldberg was named one of the top 50 political analysts in America by the Atlantic magazine. In 2011, the Conservative Political Action Conference honoured him as the Robert J. Novak Journalist of the Year. For a number of periodicals, he has published articles on politics, media, and culture. He has also made appearances on several radios and television shows. The Tyranny of Clichés, Liberal Fascism, and Suicide of the West are books he is the author.
