Jonathan Bailey Bio

Jonathan Bailey is a British theater, movie and television actor. He was born on the 25th April, 1988 in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. He started his career in theatre, playing in 1997 “Les Miserables” at the Palace Theatre, in London. He would then perform in more than 15 plays with different companies, as in 2003, when he acted in the play “King John” with the Royal Shakespeare Company. His first role in a TV serie was as Ben Devenish in the BBC drama “Bright Hair”. In 1998, he acted in a TV movie “Alice through the Looking Glass” based on Lewis Carroll’s book of the same name. In 2011 when he was casted as Leonardo da Vinci in the BBC series “Leonardo”. And in 2013, he was casted for the series created by Chris Chibnall, “Broadchurch”, starring David Tennant and Olivia Colman.
