Jonathan Quick Bio

Jonathan Quick is an American professional ice hockey player born in Milford, Connecticut on January 21, 1986. He is currently the goaltender for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League. As a youth player, Quick played in the 2000 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the New York Rangers minor ice hockey team. He also played for the Mid Fairfield youth hockey association, Hamden High School, and Avon Old Farms. He played college hockey at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In 2005 he was selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the third round, 72nd overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Quick played his first NFL game on December 23, 2007. In 2012 he was signed to a ten-year contract extension with the Kings that would keep him on the team until 2013. He became a Stanley Cup champion with the Kings in the 2011 season and the 2013 season. In 2010 he was named to Team USA for the 2010 Winter Olympic and received a silver medal after the United States lost to Canada.
