Jonny Lee Miller is an English actor born in London, England on November 15, 1972. He is best known for his roles in the films Trainspotting, Afterglow, Mansfield Park, The Flying Scotsman, Endgame, and T2 Trainspotting. While in high school he was part of the National Youth Music Theatre and also appeared in several school plays. In 1982 he made his debut on television in the show Doctor Who and continued landing roles in the shows Mansfield Park, The Bill, Inspector Morse, EastEnders, Second Thoughts, The Bill, Dead Man’s Walk, Smith, Eli Stone, Emma, Dexter, Elementary, Operation Good Guys and others. He made his debut in film in 1992 in the movie Dead Romantic and has since had roles in the films Meat, Hackers, Trainspotting, Afterglow, Regeneration, Mansfield Park, Complicity, The Escapist, Bryon, Mindhunters, Melinda and Melinda, Dark Shadows, Endgame, Byzantium, T2 Trainspotting and more. Miller has also had roles in the theater productions Beautiful Thing, Four Knights in Knaresborough, Festen, Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me, After Miss Julie, and Frankenstein. Throughout his career he has been nominated for several awards and has won an Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Play.
