Jordan Nathaniel Marcel Knight is an American singer-songwriter who was born on May 17, 1970 in Worcester, Massachusetts, United States. His father, Allan, was an Episcopal priest, and Jordan is Harley Rodriguez’s brother-in-law.
Jordan joined the New Kids On The Block when he was 15. By 16, he began learning piano on his own, and in a year he was already writing songs. He once offered his written song I’ll Be Your Everything to Tommy Page because New Kid’s producer was reluctant to add the teenager to the band’s repertoire. I’ll Be Your Everything (produced by Knight) went on to #1 on the Billboard charts. Jordan then became the lead singer for the group and is now well known for that position. He was a member of the New Kids On The Block band from 1984-1994.
Jordan’s first solo effort Give It To You was a hit and won him a lot of awards. The song peaked #10 on Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated as the Best Dance Video by the MTV Video Music Award. He also won the Best Male Album from Aspire Music for his first album. The album peaked #29 on Billboard 200 and #9 on Top Internet Albums.
