Jordan Pickford, born as Jordan Lee Logan, is a British football player who was born on March 7, 1994, in Washington, England. He is a famous goalkeeper who started his career as a child joining Sunderland’s Academy, his hometown team.
He quickly progressed as a player and got his first professional contract in 2011. In 2012 he signed with Conference Premier team Darlington, after which he switched to Alfreton Town in 2013. After playing in several small clubs for years, he finally returned to Sunderland, where he became the alternate goalkeeper during the 2016-17 season. In 2017 he signed with Premier League team Everton and the transaction made him the third most expensive goalkeeper by that time. He has also played for the English national team since 2018, having played in the 2018 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2020, where the team lost the final against Italy.
