Jordan Poyer Bio
Jordan Lynn-Baxter Poyer is a professional football player born on April 25, 1991, in Dallas, Oregon, USA. He played basketball, baseball, and football at Astoria High School. The Florida Marlins selected him in the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft. He played college football at Oregon State, earning a consensus All-American and All-Pac 12 First Team in 2012.
The Philadelphia Eagles selected him as the 218th pick in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Jordan finished the 2013 season as a Cleveland Brown. He was with the Browns till 2016. The strong safety joined the Buffalo Bills in 2017, wearing the number 21 jersey. He was one of the team's defensive captains in 2020.
From 2017 to 2020, Jordan was the only player in the NFL to have more than 400 tackles (426) and more than 12 interceptions (13). He had six forced fumbles, 21 tackles for a loss, 7.0 sacks, and 27 passes defended. He is associated with Oishei Children's Hospital of Buffalo and Camp Good Days.
