Jordan Rakei is a New Zealand-Australian singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer born in Hamilton, New Jersey on May 23, 1992. He is currently based in London, England. Rakei has previously released music and performed under the stage name Dan Kye. In 2013 he released his debut EP titled Franklin’s Room. He self released the album at 21 years old through Bandcamp. He followed it up in 2014 with the release of his second EP titled Groove Curse EP through the label Soul Has No Tempo. In 2015 he moved to London, England to further his music career and started working with the artists Tom Misch and FKJ. Rakei released his debut studio album in 2016 titled Cloak through his own record label, 4101 Records. He has since released the albums Wallflower and Origin. He has also released five EPs.
