Joseph Kosinski is an American film director, producer, and writer who is best known for his work on CGI-aided films. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States, on May 3, 1974. He has directed the blockbuster films Tron: Legacy, Only the Brave, Escape from Spiderhead, and Top Gun: Maverick. He wrote, directed, and produced the film Oblivion which stars Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Andrea Riseborough, and Olga Kurylenko. He received a nomination for the Rondo Statuette Award at the Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards. Apart from his film career, Joseph has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a master’s degree in Architecture from Colombia University.
