Joseph Morgan Bio
An English actor and director, Joseph Morgan was born in London. He was a student of the Central School of Speech and Drama in his late teens. With a natural talent for acting, he had guest roles in television shows such as Spooks, Henry VIII and also worked on films such as Alexander and Mansfield Park before coming to fame with his role in Immortals, directed by Tarsem Singh, in which he played Lysander alongside Henry Cavill and Freida Pinto.
This then lead to his role in The CW’s Vampire Diaries, where he gained critical acclaim for his nuanced portrayal Klaus Mikaelson from season 2 onwards, he reprise the character in The Originals, where his character is now the lead role. As a director, he has directed multiple episodes of The Originals.
