Josh Hutcherson Bio

Josh Hutcherson was born on October 12, 1992 in Union, Kentucky. He started his career working commercials and in minor roles in movies and television shows. His break came when he landed a role in 2002’s House Blend. He later starred in Miracle Dogs and had guest roles in ER and Becoming Glen. He received good reviews for his work on Wilder Days, American Splendor and The Polar Express. He voiced a character in Howl’s Moving Castle. He had a leading role in Little Manhattan and Zathura, which earned him a Young Artist Award.

His breakthrough role was in the drama Bridge to Terabithia in 2007, which earned him critical acclaim and led to further roles in Firehouse Dog, Winged Creatures, Journey to the Center of the Earth and Cirque du Freak. He had a supporting part in The Kids Are All Right. Hutcherson gained worldwide fame after he was cast in The Hunger Games series in 2011, which earned him an MTV Movie Award and several other awards. He also had roles in Detention and The Forger.
