Born in Arkansas, USA, in 1971, the actor Josh Lucas was inspired to begin his acting career accidentally by running onto the set of a movie in 1979. Attending high school in Washington, Josh joined the drama program where he won the State Championship in Dramatic Interpretation.
After moving to Los Angeles and then New York, Josh’s real breakthrough occurred in 1997 when he was cast in a production of Corpus Christi as Judas, which led to his rise in fame. He went on to appear in the acclaimed film A Beautiful Mind (2001) which was awarded an Oscar.
He has starred alongside notable actors such as Morgan Freeman and Kurt Russell and has even tried his hand at producing, with the film Stolen released in 2009 being produced through his company Two Bridges. Most notable is Josh’s winning of the I.F Award for Best Actor after his role in the box office success Red Dog (2011).
