Born in April 11, 1987, Joss Stone or legally known as Joscelyn Eve Stoker, is from Kent, England. She grew up listening to famous singers and R&B icons, especially Aretha Franklin, who has a throaty voice. As Joss’ voice matured, she was able to take the first place from a BBC competition back in 2001, in which she was 14 then.
She won a record deal when she performed Donna Summer’s “On the Radio” for Steve Greenberg, the CEO of S-Curve label. She then launched herself on an entertainment career at a very young age. Her first album was entitled “Soul Sessions,” which led to her introduction to the MTV generation. She was able to take three Grammy nominations, as well as two BRIT awards.
