Lorenzo Cherubini, who is known for his stage name Jovanotti, was born on the 27th of September, 1966 in Rome. He is an Italian DJ and rapper, who debuted on various local radio stations, and later moved to Milan to perform on Radio Deejay. His first hits include “Gimme Five” and “E’ Qui La Festa?”. They were eventually included in his debut album, “Jovanotti for President”. He has sold over five million records in Italy. He has now relocated to New York City. He has collaborated with artists like Amadou & Mariam, Ben Harper, and The Beastie Boys as well as the great Luciano Pavarotti, who passed in recent years.
