Joy Orbison whose real name is Peter O’ Grady is a DubStep producer from Croydon, London, England. His first commercial recording was in 2009 titled Hyph Mngo which was one of fact magazines tracks of 2009. His single J. Doe was the first to be released on doldrums label. A third single released in 2010 was titled ‘The Shrew Would Have Cushioned the Blow’. He went in the studio and created a special session with Pearson Sound and Ben UFO. The session was a mixtape limited edition but was eventually uploaded to SoundCloud. The ‘A’ side of the tape features his experimental eclectic dub and techno sound. Orbison’s influences include Phil Spector, Todd Edwards and Arthur Russell.
