Joyryde is the stage name of the English DJ and music producer John Ford. He was born in England on July 24, 1985. Ford started producing music in a studio at 9 years old and by 13 he was DJing worldwide. He started his career using the stage name Eskimo. In 2003, at 17 years old, he released his debut studio album titled Can you Pick Me Up?. Under the name Eskimo he continued to release the albums Take a Look Out There, Balloonatic Part One, Balloonatic Part Two, and Cheap Thrills. From 2011 to 2015 he was part of the electronic music duo Lets Be Friends. Together they released the EPs Lets Be Friends and IOA. In 2015 Ford started using the stage name Joyryde to release bass-heavy house music. He was signed to the label OWSLA in 2017 and released a number of singles. In 2019 he released his debut album under his new stage name titled Brave.
