JR JR Bio
JR JR is a Detroit based band indie, pop, folk, and electronic band created by Daniel Zott and Joshua Epstein. Their first EP, Horse Power, came out in 2010 which created enough of a stir to win them a contract with Warner Bros. The second EP in 2011 was We Almost Lost Detroit. The band’s name was originally Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr but they changed it to the shortened version JR JR to minimize confusion. As for full length albums, their first was A Corporate World, second was The Speed of Things, and the third was a self titled album. In Michigan the band has its own flavor of ice cream labeled JR JR Mint, and the Milwaukee Bucks have invited them to practice. They have played on the Conan O’Brian Show, and continue to gather a large fan base. The band has also produced singles such as ‘Gone’ which Epstein says has a lot of personal meaning and was written after he woke up from a vivid dream.
