Juan Sebastián Verón Bio

Juan Sebastián Verón (born March 9, 1975, in La Plata, Argentina), is a renowned Argentine former professional footballer and current chairman of Estudiantes de La Plata.
Verón primarily played as a central midfielder but was versatile enough to adapt to various midfield positions. In 1994, Verón made his professional debut for Estudiantes. He secured a move to Italian side Sampdoria in 1996. After a brief stint, he transferred to Parma. His rising profile led to a move to Lazio in 1999.

In 2001, Verón made a high-profile transfer to Manchester United for a then British record fee. After two seasons with the Red Devils, he moved to Chelsea in 2003 but returned to Italy with Inter Milan after just one season. Verón returned to Argentina in 2006. He played a pivotal role in leading Estudiantes to the 2009 Copa Libertadores title, their first in 39 years.

Verón earned 73 caps for the Argentine national team, representing the country in three World Cups (1998, 2002, and 2010) and two Copa América tournaments.
