Julia Mancuso is a former alpine ski racer and Olympic gold medalist born on the 9th of March 1984 in Reno, Nevada, United States. She started taking part in international competitions at the age of 15. In 2001, she earned her first points in a World Cup race. Although she did not win any world cup races in the next few seasons, she recorded high success rates at Junior World Championships. In 2006, she finished in runners-up position in a Super-G in Italy.
In 2010, she won silver at the Vancouver Olympics. The following year, she won gold at the World Cup in Switzerland and donated half of her prize money to a tsunami relief campaign in Japan. Mancuso has also been an ambassador for the High Five Foundation. In 2010, she founded a lingerie line called Kiss My Tiara.
