Julian Lennon is an English musician and photographer born in Liverpool, England on April 8, 1963. He is the son of the Beatles member John Lennon. Julian was the inspiration for the Beatles’ songs “Hey Jude”, “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds”, and “Good Night.” Julian made his musical debut at 11 years old playing drums on his father’s album Walls and Bridges. In 1984 he released his debut studio album titled Valotte. The album charted in multiple countries and was certified silver by the BPI and platinum by the RIAA. He has since released the albums The Secret Value of Daydreaming, Mr. Jordan, Help Yourself, Photograph Smile, and Everything Changes. Lennon has held several exhibitions of his photography. In 2008 he produced the documentary WhaleDreamers, an environmental documentary that has won many awards. He has made appearances in a number of films, including Stand By Me: A Portrait Of Julian Lennon, The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus, Cannes, Leaving Las Vegas and others. In 2010 he published his debut book titled Beatles Memorabilia: The Julian Lennon Collection.
