Julianna Margulies is an American actress born on June 8, 1966, in Spring Valley, New York. She is best known for her roles as Carol Hathaway in ER, Elizabeth Canterbury in Canterbury's Law, and Alicia Florrick in The Good Wife opposite Chris Noth and Josh Charles. She studied liberal arts at Sarah Lawrence College before debuting on film in Out for Justice in 1991. The American actress has appeared in many roles both on television and on-screen. She has starred in drama series like The Sopranos and Homicide: Life on the Street. On film, she has appeared in Ghost Ship, The Darwin Awards, Snakes on a Plane, to name a few. For her role in The Good Wife, she has won both an Emmy and a Golden Globe. She has also received eight Screen Actor Guild Awards throughout her career and was featured in Time’s 100 Most Influential People in the World list.
