Julie Christie was born Julie Frances Christie on the 14th of April 1940 in Assam, British India and is a British actress. Holding training from the Central School of Speech and Drama, the artist began a career in 1963 with Billy Liar, a comedy drama. Since then, Christie has become an icon of the swinging London era of the 1960’s and holds an Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, BAFTA Award and SAG Award.
Well known for roles such as Darling, a British drama film in which she acted opposite Dirk Bogarde and Laurence Harvey. She then went on to have a role in Doctor Zhivago, Fahrenheit 451, Afterglow, Finding Neverland, Away from Her and more recently, the horror film starring Amanda Steinberg, Red Riding Hood and The Company You Keep beside Robert Redford.
